We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for three Canadian entities and one U.S. entity. This is a fully on-site position responsible for accurate, timely payroll processing and ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial/state, and local legislation.
Responsibilities:
o Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll (3 Canada, 1 U.S.)
o Administer source deductions, payroll taxes, and statutory remittances
o Prepare and issue T4s and U.S. year-end tax documentation (W-2/W-9 related)
o Manage and reconcile Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) reporting
o Maintain payroll records and general ledger reconciliations
o Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency and Internal Revenue Service requirements
o Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and confidentially
Qualifications:
o Completion of a recognized payroll certification (PCP or equivalent)
o 3–5 years payroll experience, including Canadian and U.S. payroll
o Experience with ADP and QuickBooks
o Strong knowledge of payroll tax, remittances, and compliance
o Agriculture experience considered an asset
o Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing priorities
