The Scale Operator is responsible for documenting incoming and outgoing shipments and passing along this information to the appropriate departments.
Responsibilities:
o Relay grower and driver information to the Processing Operations Manager, Fresh Market Operations Manager and Logistics
o Direct growers and drivers to unload/loading docks according to the Yard Manager’s instruction.
o Enter load information into Famous Software.
o Set and insert Temptale®, seal loaded outbound trailers with certified seal.
o Ensure accurate procedures are followed according to Can-Am protocol (filing, inbound and outbounds, document creation)
o Required to work overtime, weekends and on holidays during season.
o Comply with company and customer regulations and policies.
o Continually monitor and report all health, safety and food concerns or deviations to supervisory management.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Candidate MUST be a self-motivated, detail-oriented person with the ability to focus in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations daily.
o Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives.
o Excellent communication and organizational skills.
o Must be fluent in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook.)
o Must have knowledge of health, safety and food safety standards pertaining to the agricultural infrastructure (training provided.)
